Nothing requires more rhetorical devices than a good political speech. That said, please write your own victory or concession speech for one of the candidates for President. You may choose ANY candidate.
You will need to deliver your speech (or record it). It needs to last at least five minutes. Your grade will be on how effective your speech is. You should include many effective rhetorical turns.
Your partner will write an analytical essay explaining what audience the speech is aiming at, what the goals are, and how the speech accomplishes those goals. You will be graded on how well the essay is structured and how analytical it is.
The essay will need to be at least 800 words.
