Letter to Salinger

 

According to the wonderful web site, a book is being compiled of letters to J. D. Salinger. Noone expects the letters to actually make it to Salinger. The very concept disgusts him. However, it is a good writing exercise.

Guidelines:

This letter should have the usual pre-requisites of correct spelling, grammar, typing and length.

This letter will be published on my web site and will, probably, be published on this other website. It is even possible that one of our letters will make it into the book.

Therefore, it is important that you be honest and forthright. Do not write for perfect people or all of the English teachers you have ever had. Instead, write as if you would normally.
