I believe that in the next five years the number of million dollar homes being built and sold on Nantucket will increase at a rapid rate. At the moment there is a popular demand for these luxurious water front homes. Since Nantucket has a limited amount of land, the quantity of million dollar homes being built after the next five years will slowly decrease.
With the building of all of these extravagant million dollar homes comes many jobs. The demand for carpenters, contractors, plumbers, electricians, and realtors will increase as more people want homes. Let's not forget that the building of all of these big new houses will provide interior decorators with new jobs because, lets face it if your going to pay a million dollars or more on a house it's have to look good.
Most of these expensive houses will be homes to people that will only visit Nantucket for a short time in the summer. The people who buy these houses probably have more just like it around the world. This will make summers on Nantucket more crowded, but the winters won't be very busy. I believe that since the community is growing, many people will be waiting in line to purchase a million home.
Although many people want to own a million dollar home on the water or in town on this small island there is a limited amount of land that can be used to build such houses. In five years there won't be as much building of these million dollar homes, because there will not be much land to build them on. This means less jobs for plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and yes even interior decorators. At the moment, the year round home owners are not being greatly affected by the many million dollar homes, but with in a few years the summers will become more crowded than before.
In conclusion to all of these million dollar homes be bought and built, the year round residents will run into problems. The summers will become greatly overcrowded making it harder for the year round residents to perform tasks in their daily life.
ticing on for so long. Only one day until opening night. I sank into a deep thought remembering how I never even wanted to become a dancer. It was my parents dream, not mine. But, I couldn't let them down.
When I started I was only eight years old, now I'm seventeen. I was resisting my mothers pull as she tugged me into the dance studio.
