The America project represents one of the great challenges of the sophomore year in high school. In order to succeed at this project, you will once again after show Courage, Respect, and Discipline. Because I know that you have these qualities, I know this will succeed
The Project
You and your partner are to go on an imaginary two week trip in the United States, where you will travel between two cities without using motorized transportation. During your trip you will keep a detailed journal (see Example that will accurately describe everything you see and everything you do. At the end of your trip, you will write a story or a descriptive essay based on an event in the trip. You will need to outfit yourself thoughtfully for this trip.
In order to write accurately about these places you will be visiting, you will need to do some research. While we have found many materials in the library and there are still more to be found by using the telephone, The World Wide Web also offers great materials.
